Starter batteries with integrated central ventilation.

More and more car manufacturers are using batteries with central ventilation. These batteries have a flat lid surface with sunken vent plugs. A gas channel, which runs through all cells inside the battery, provides a means for all gases, which may be produced as a result of overcharging, to be drawn out centrally.

This is a requirement for all vehicles in which the battery is located either in the passenger- or boot space or in the fresh air inlet shaft.
